CISO, TIM
Matteo Macina, after obtaining a master’s degree with honors in Mathematics for Applications at Sapienza University of Rome, began his career in 2008 at Deloitte where, with increasing responsibilities, he came to hold the role of Manager for Cyber Risk Services.
From 2015 to 2022 he held managerial positions at Terna S.p.A. up to the responsibility of the Cyber Defense Center reporting directly to the Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). He led the start-up and accreditation activities of the Computer Emergency Readiness Team (CERT) and defined the integrated operational model of the Cyber Defense Center.
Since 2022 he is in charge with the role of director of the Cyber Security of TIM S.p.A. with the responsibility of ensuring, at Group level, the logical security and protection of IT and infrastructure resources, ICT assets as well as information, also guaranteeing the relevant engineering and application management activities. Furthermore, within the TIM Group, he is a board member of the company Telecom Italia Trust Technologies S.r.l.
Actively involved in sector associations and academic institutions, in particular he carries out university collaboration and research activities with the Department of Business Economics of Roma Tre regarding the topics of Governance, Control Systems and Auditing with teaching and seminar activities.
He holds the position of Operational Vice President of the Cyber Security Italy Foundation.
