Since June 2016, Yuri Rassega has been Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of Enel, a multinational energy company and one of the main operators in the integrated electricity and gas sector in the world (operating in 34 countries on 5 continents). He is responsible for leading all IT & OT & IoT Cyber Security risk management, governance, engineering and operation processes of the Group.
Previously, between 2014 and 2016, he was head of the Global ICT Solution Center AFC, HR and Procurement and, between 2004 and 2014, he headed the Group’s ICT Global Audit unit. He joined the Enel group in 2001 as head of the ICT function at Enel Hydro SpA. Before working for Enel, Yuri Rassega with various responsibilities in the ICT industry, including the development of systems in the banking sector, TELCO & ISP, ERP, SCADA, ACS, and ICS solutions for various clients, His experience has developed through a wide range of roles, from software development and electronic design, to consultancy, to entrepreneurial roles and senior management positions.
From 1999 to 2001, Yuri Rassega was CIO of a private Telco company (fixed telephone service and Internet Service Provider) accompanying its launch from the ‘green-field’ to the scale-up phase. He is also an inventor having developed some patented digital tools and fraud detection methods in Europe, the United States and some Latin American countries. He is a member of some ‘expert working groups’ also in institutional, national and international contexts, such as UE-sponsored Working Groups, G7, G20 and WEF-World Economic Forum (5 publications).
He serves teaching, being a subject-matter expert adjunct professor, in some Master courses: University of Genova (2018-2021), Bologna Business School (2018-2021), LUISS Business School (2021), University of Firenze (2021), University of Modena (2016-2018), and presenting many other Lectures at civil and military Academies. He contributes as a speaker, as a panel chairman, as an Advisory Board Member in numerous international conferences on cybersecurity and wireless communications.
