In 2000, Nicola Mugnato founded a company with the aim of technically supporting the operational activities of national and international law enforcement, developing probes for the interception of internet communications and Trojan software.

After selling the company to the Finmeccanica Group in 2007, it became Head of Finmeccanica Group Cybers Security, with the responsibility of defining and implementing the entire IT security system for all Finmeccanica companies worldwide.

In 2015 he founded Gyala, a cybersecurity company that develops advanced cybersecurity solutions for the civil and military market.
