After graduating in Physics from the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa (SNS), Luca Foresti obtained a Master’s degree in Physics and pursued his studies in the PhD program in Financial Mathematics at the same institute. During the early years of his professional experience, he worked in developing countries within a network of banks specialized in microfinance.

From 2004 to 2005, Luca Foresti was involved in establishing a data center in Frankfurt for the management of credit and debit cards, ATMs, and POS for financial institutions worldwide. In 2005, he founded Econoetica, a technological startup operating in the advanced ICT services sector, particularly in multimedia content and wireless technologies.

Since June 2010, Luca Foresti is Chief Executive Officer of the Santagostino.
